Leaf Jiu Jitsu is a school dedicated to the teaching of Jiu Jitsu, with a strong commitment to the traditional values of martial arts and to the technical and personal development of its practitioners. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a martial art focused on technique and leverage, allowing practitioners of different physical builds to effectively defend themselves and control confrontational situations, particularly on the ground. Beyond its competitive aspect, Jiu Jitsu offers significant physical, mental, and emotional benefits. It improves physical fitness, motor coordination, concentration, and emotional resilience, while also instilling values such as discipline, respect, and self-confidence. It is an inclusive practice, accessible to all ages and experience levels. Founded by Professor Alexandre Jorge, a 2nd-degree black belt and multiple-time Portuguese national champion, Leaf officially represents the prestigious Marcão-Artsuave Jiu-Jitsu school in Braga, led by Professor Marcos Carneiro. Known for its well-structured methodological approach, Leaf Jiu Jitsu offers students a learning environment that fosters discipline, technical growth, and personal development. Each practitioner is guided in a personalised manner, according to their individual goals, promoting the development of both athletic and personal skills.
